My Story
Life & Career
I grew up in Daytona Beach, FL. Everyone always asks, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" The only answer I ever had was that I was going to be in the NFL. I went to a Fairmont State University for college to play football where I set a few records. I was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 where I failed a physical due to a torn meniscus that I didn't know I had. Without ever getting on the field, I was cut. I went and had surgery and started playing arena football for the Pittsburg Power in hopes to make way back to the NFL. After a couple years my hopes started to fade and I was stuck in a place where I needed to figure out what I was going to do with my life.
My high school football coach, Brian Richardson, had told me to give Rugby a try as he was part of a club team in Daytona that I had played with a few times. I went up to Ohio where I got in with Tiger Rugby and I was soon invited to go down to Chula Vista, CA to try out at the Olympic Training Center for the National Team.
